This experiment was intended to examine the extent of fire damage inside a colonial style two-story structure with an open front door. The fire was ignited in the laundry room. The fire developed and laundry room transitioned to flashover. The front door was closed to limit air flow followed by primary fire suppression occurred through the laundry room window.
