This experiment, a replicate of Experiment 10, was intended to examine the fire dynamics in a typical single-story structure with ventilation through an open front door. The fire was ignited in the kitchen. The fire developed and the kitchen transitioned to flashover. Following flashover, the front door was closed. The structure remained closed until the fire reduced the level of oxygen within the structure below what was needed for flaming combustion. The kitchen door was later opened, there was no re-kindle. Water was applied to hot spots.
